Crossroads Bellevue , Bellevue, WA - 1986-2007

In 1986, Crossroads, now called a "mall with soul" had a reputation for crime, gangs, and drugs. It is now known as Crossroads Bellevue, a one-of-a-kind community retail space with public art, free live music every weekend, annual multicultural events, fundraising events, supportive community services, hosting diverse communities unrivaled anywhere in Western Washington.

MARKETING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE

  • Event Planning - Annual merchandising, promotional and community events including Signature Events such as 'Cultural Crossroads' (20th Annual Cultural Crossroads celebrated last November, 2009),  'International Crossroads on Parade', 'Bite of Crossroads';  created the 20 year old ‘Late Night in the Market’ - free live music program at Crossroads.
  • Public relations and communications, with an established and respected network of media & community contacts.
  • Pro-active multiculturalism, intercultural communication and diversity sensitivities.
  • Advertising & Media buying - print, electronic, co-op, direct mail, new media, collaterals for both institutional branding and event-based campaigns.
  • Three  complete rebranding campaigns for Crossroads (1986, 1989, 2005).
  • Editor, Crossroads Quarterly, 16 page tabloid magazine, 1990-1995.
  • Website creation and content management; have overseen development for 6 complete websites.
